Our first Movie in The Park for the year will  be on Saturday, June 19, 2021. We will be showing the Jungle Book, the movie will start at dusk. Bring your lawn chairs, a picnic and come enjoy this family friendly movie. Without the wonderful partnership the District has with Common Ground Church who so graciously provides all the equipment needed, this family fun night would not be possible.

January is National Radon Action Month, and University of Nevada, Reno Extension’s Radon Education Program is offering free short-term radon test kits to Nevadans through Feb. 28. Radon test kits are available at Extension offices and partnering locations statewide.

All recreation facilities within the District’s parks are now open and we are accepting reservations for park gazebo rentals of 50 people or less, these facilities include James Lee Park, North Sunridge Park and South Sunridge Park.

As of Monday October 3, 2011 we are receiving water through the new pipeline coming from the Town of Minden/ Douglas County and tying into IHGID. Water is flowing from the Town of Minden. After one week we expect we will totally be off of Browns Well water as our current water storage is replaced with Minden water.
